I went into The Park and met with Michele DiVincenzo to discuss my parents’ health and to see if The Park would be a good fit for them. They did not want to move out of their home but really had no choice. Their level of care had increased and our family was unable to devote full care for them. During the time my father was in rehab, I became my mother’s full time caregiver. This was very exhausting and put tremendous stress on my own family. Michele was a God send. She assured me The Park could accommodate all their needs. The main selling point for me was they could be together in the same room and the cost was for the room per day not per person or their level of care. Michele was so caring and understood exactly what I was going through.

I lived with my son and his wife for the longest time. They suggested I move into the Manor Courts, but I was reluctant at first. I’m glad they convinced me. Everyone is so nice here, and I truly feel at home. My son still comes to visit as often as possible, and it’s just a wonderful community here.

Vince Dattilo, CEO of Gloria Dei Communities along with Nancy Cherone, Executive Director of Nazareth Hospital, Susan Hurowitz, Vice President-Physician Practice Management/Mercy Physician Network and Donna Marie Saul, Director of Education and Resident Services for Gloria Dei Communities celebrated the Grand Opening of the Mercy Primary Care at Gloria Dei Estates offices. The ribbon cutting event was attended by senior management from Gloria Dei Communities and Mercy Health System along with physicians and staff. Mercy Primary Care at Gloria Dei Estates has been established for the exclusive use of Gloria Dei Estates community residents providing improved health management and easy access to the Mercy Health System.

Yes, you’re allowed to have visitors stay with you overnight. Our House Rules permit residents to have visitors stay for up to two weeks. If any visitor wishes to stay for a longer time, they must receive permission from the Administrator to extend their visit.

We have a very active Residents’ Association which organizes lunches, dinners, entertainment and socials. There are regularly scheduled evenings for Bingo, Shuffleboard, Pool and Cards. The Association also runs a small Coffee Shop where residents can buy a selection of dairy and frozen foods as well as some dry goods and paper products. The shop is staffed by volunteer residents and all profits go to the Association funds to help pay for their activities. The Association also holds a Bazaar every year which is another big source of their income. Residents can be as active in the Community as they wish!
