On September 11, residents and staff from Gloria Dei Communities visited William Dick Elementary & Middle School, as well as John Marshall Elementary School in Philadelphia, for our annual Tools for Schools program. Each year, two schools are chosen to receive school supplies, everything from pencils and backpacks to recess equipment, generously donated by residents and team members from all seven of our communities.

This year, four residents joined our staff to deliver dozens of boxes filled with donations. They also had the joy of meeting the students and watching a special dance class performance. Both students and teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generosity.

Tools for Schools has become a cherished tradition that our Gloria Dei CARES Committee looks forward to supporting each year, and it’s just one of the many ways we give back to the community. See highlights from this year’s delivery below!
