Yes, there is an on-site staff when the office is closed. There is a non-medical, resident Night Manager couple on duty for after hours. This way, there is always someone available to answer resident emergency calls and deal with emergency maintenance issues. Safety is our top priority which is why we have someone on duty at all times.
No, tobacco smoking is not permitted in the resident apartments. Gloria Dei Towers is a totally smoke-free facility. Smoking is prohibited anywhere inside the building and prohibited within 30 steps of the outside building perimeter. We hope that any and all residents will respect our no-smoking policy.
No, you cannot bring more than one car to the Towers. Unfortunately, there is only such a limited amount of space for vehicles. Only one car per household will be permitted on Gloria Dei Towers property. No resident is permitted to park in the visitor parking lot without permission from the Administrator.
We cannot guarantee you a parking spot at the Gloria Dei Towers property. Unfortunately, there is very limited parking for residents, so it wouldn’t be fair of us to tell you, you definitely have a spot. The Towers Tenant Association is very active and has a long roster of regular activities: Exercise, Pinochle and miscellaneous card games, Grocery Shopping, Movie Night, Wellness Clinic, Choir Practice for The Singing Towers, Line Dancing, Wii Sports, Bingo Night, Hymn Sing, Bookmobile, Prayer & Fellowship, Casino Trips, Barbeques, Picnics, Bazaar, as well as TTA organized monthly breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and special holiday dinners and celebration activities.
Unfortunately, the Towers community bus will not take you to your doctor’s appointment. The Towers community bus is only for trips and outings arranged by Gloria Dei Towers management. The bus is not for personal activities or appointments. Various local transportation options are available.
No, there is no nurse or doctor available for the residents. Gloria Dei Towers is an independent living community, so all medical and support services need to be addressed by the household for outside help. There are no staff doctors or staff nurses on the premise of Gloria Dei Towers.
