Representatives for both Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz and State Senator Stewart Greenleaf read and presented official citations in honor of the dedication along with a commemorative United States flag that had previously been flown over the Capital.
"The realization and dediction of Memory Care at the Park is a true embodiment of Gloria Dei Communities' mission and the vision of its founder Dr. Ernst Schmidt to provide quality, affordable community living with an abundance of opportunities to find meaning and fulfillment for mature adults at all stages of their lives," Vincent Dattilo, CEO of Gloria Dei Communities commented. Dr. Schmidt's commitment was commemorated with a very special presentation of a dedication plaque during the event.
Memory Care at the Park has been designed and built using the latest dementia care evidence and best practices in order to establish a new standard of care for people living with dementia. "The new community weaves 'person-centered care' into every operational aspect of the community. In doing so, we believe Memory Care at the Park represents a beacon of life, love and hope for those living with dementia and those who love them," Vincent Dattilo added.
