Gloria Dei Senior Communities Donate School Supplies Through Its “Tools For Schools” Outreach Program

Gloria Dei Senior Communities, through its CARES Community Outreach program, has donated much needed school supplies to several Philadelphia School District schools. The schools receiving the donated school supplies were the William Cramp Elementary School serving the Fairhill community and Mary McLeod Bethune School located in North Philadelphia.

Students and staff at each school welcomed Gloria Dei Community residents and Gloria Dei staff members as the school supplies were delivered to each school. The Gloria Dei residents were able to closely interact with the students during the day long event at both schools including a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the William Cramp Elementary students and school staff in the morning. The residents then ate lunch at the Bethune school and enjoyed special student talent presentations prepared especially for the Gloria Dei residents. Students and staff at each school expressed their sincere thanks for the greatly needed school supply donations that were provided directly by residents of the six Gloria Dei Senior Communities.

Vincent Dattilo, CEO of Gloria Dei Senior Communities commented, “Each year, our residents at Gloria Dei Senior Communities look forward to visiting schools in our area with needed school supplies. Through the CARE program, Gloria Dei residents support our community outreach at all levels, donating their own time and resources for those that need it most. Our ‘Tools for Schools’ program is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to directly interact with those they are helping and to see how their caring donations are making a difference.”
